Sides and bout areas look great as shown. Overall condition is Very good plus-after all it is over 25 years old! Weighs in at a comfortable 7 lbs 9 ounces on postal scale. The largest dings are the small one on back as shown and the 2 on each side of neck pocket-the neck pocket dings could be touched up but they never bothered me as they can't be seen from front. A factory fitted Fernandes Sustainer System was an option for the LE-1. This model was also available with gold hardware as the LE-1G model. The LE-1 is a Fender stratocaster copy with basswood or alder body, Fernandes FST-1C tremolo bridge and Gotoh MH-12 mahcine heads. Production of the Ferndandes LE-1 began around 1993 and ended in 1998. Pickups were three Fernandes VS-4 single coils.

The LE-2N had an ash body (with brighter tone) and a tortoiseshell pickguard. The LE-2 was available with gold hardware (as the LE-2G) or chrome hardware (LE-2 or LE-2N) and in right or left handed configuration. The LE-2 was based on the vintage Stratocaster design and aimed to replicate the classic feel and tone of that instrument. The LE-2 were more vintage spec'd guitars than the LE-1's-which are far more common: neck is slightly larger than a comparable Fuji Gen Fender Stratocaster 62 reissue. This example plays and sounds really well-still has all stock electronics/pickups and a nice 2 piece alder body with a beautul sunburst finish. These are high quality made guitars from Japan. The Japanese made Fernandes guitars were made by Tokai Gakki from what my research has shown. Fernandes guitars have quite a following and are collectible.
